AO 2.1 error "The launcher is exited with error, see log file for more details."

Dear AO Expert Users,

We are relatively new to AO (Version 2.1 SP02 with Excel 2010).  A Citrix user encountered this error and now they are not able to use AO again via Citrix.  The user shutdown AO via Citrix.  Closed Citrix and tried to go back in.  However, they continue to get the error.  While I usually use AO via my individual computer, I experienced an error with AO via Citrix.  I found it was a couple of hours before I could use it again via Citrix.  Does anyone have a best practices document for hosting AO via Citrix?

We have also noticed that sometimes via an individual desktop that AO gets hung up in an error process and it will be hours before it is available again to use.  As we see AO get hung up on an error on individual computers, is there a timeout setting we need to adjust so AO is available sooner following an error/crash of AO?  Or are there other options to get AO back up and running?

Hi Lisa,

I would like to add one more note to Tammy's reply:

2223268 -  AO: Excel crashes or freezes after closing the last opened workbook.

This is when you close your excel and will be fixed under SP3.

Lisa - I am not sure about the Citrix side of things; this is a common error.

Could you/your Citrix admin look at the following notes:
