KKS1 - variance calc run after many years

Friends,

Here si my understanding re-production order settlement:

CO43 allocate overheads

KKAO: WIP calc

KKS1 Variance calc

CO88  settlement

KKRC compile data

KKSB reports on compiled data  (same as GR55 7KOK report)

My issue: a plant has run many years without performing KKS1 step. It did all other steps (save analysis report)

The orders were settled nevertheless, but the variance analysis report shows no data.

What will be the consequence of running it now?

Hi..

If your settlement profile don’t have “Variances to costing-based PA” indicator, you can run variance calculation whenever you need variance report for any period.

This job don’t have effect on your business.

But what will happen "Settlement"...till settlement is not done process is not complete.

It seems that it did the job. No posting whatsoever (as expected). The variance analysis report know looks good, following month.

Hi

First of all check the order status ...I think all are without TECO/DLV status and so you have run WIP and could settle the orders otherwise without variance calculation you could not settle them.

If that is case then all diff in orders have already posted to WIP a/cs (BS &PL) ..so check the position.

Finally you can't do variance of old orders against closed period.

If you start the process correctly now , start from new period.
