SAP BEx Current Month vs Previous Month

Hello Dear Guru's

I'm having some troubles into using the right variable or method for me to accomplish the next:

0CALMONTH          Value          Value -1 Month

We've been trying to use a Restricted keyfigure with 0CALMONTH as a Characteristic being filtered by various types of variables with no success.

Perhaps we're doing something wrong in the concept.

Anny suggestions might be very useful,

Hmm, doesn't seem so easy for me at query level before the 740 (because calmonth is displayed, filters or RKF won't work).

This can easily be done through data staging (with a new KF = value of the month -1) or less easily  through a virtual KF (not so sure for this one).

In 740, the variable type current member can be used to achieve this:

This seems like the perfect answer

I just wonder if this could be installed as an Ad-On or does this get included as part of Upgrading.

Right now We're on 7.31 SP14 and not in plans for upgrading in the near future.

Hi Fedrico,

Try to create New selection on your first Key Figure and use Offset ' -1 ' in your 0CALMONTH Variable for your Second Key figure column.

Hi,

you are comparing cal month against value (current month) and value(previous month) which is not correct.

you can compare a date against  value (CM) and value (PM) .. (or) compare month against current year and previous year .

what is your requirement?
