Runtime error "CALL_FUNCTION_REMOTE_ERROR"

Former Member

Dear Experts,

When I try to delete the client using transaction "SCC5", I get the status "Cancelled". I see the Runtime error "CALL_FUNCTION_REMOTE_ERROR" for ABAP program "CL_FINB_GN_BBI================CP" in  transaction, ST22 (see attached screenshot).

Any ideas, please?

Thanks & best regards,

Sreenu

Hi Srinivasa,

Try to run client deletion using SAP* user . Please find below useful SAP note. The third point in note looks to be related to your issue.

70643 - CC-TOPIC: Client Deletion (SCC5)

Thanks

Hi Santosh,

Thank you for the Hint.

I also tried with SAP* but same issue results (Client copy cancelled). Also, tried "rdisp/max_wprun_time" Parameter with values, 3600 and 7200.

I assume that, Troubleshooting has to be done by considering the keyword "FINB_TR_CC_EXIT" (see output result in attachment).

I found OSS Note: 844615 but it doesn't match to my requirement.

Any ideas, please?

Best regards,

Sreenu

Hi Sreeni,

One more wild idea from my side.If it is still failing with TIME OUT dump then please try setting the parameter rdisp/mas_wprun_time to 0. Setting the parameter to 0 indicates that no time limit is defined 🙂

If it still fails that means there is something else.

Thanks,

Hi Mofizur,

Thank you for the Hint.

When I try add the Parameter "rdisp/mas_wprun_time" in RZ10, i get the message "The Parameter is not known. Do you still want to copy it?".

Is this paramter obsolete or i have any new issue?

Best regards,

Sreenu

Hi Sreenivasa,

Please try SAP* initial user.

1.If currently sap* user is not having password "pass" means you have sap* user's details in your database. So delete sap* user from system database and required client.

2. Set parameter 'rdisp/no_automatic_user_sapstar' to value 0  in any one apps server of your system. And take restart of the system.

3. Login into the system (use user sap* and password as 'pass') with same apps on which you have set parameter and same client from which you have deleted sap* user

Then try to run client deletion. Hope it will work.

Thanks

Hello,

It is not possible that it was the exact same issue.

The issue seen at the provided screenshot is a TIMEOUT dump (e.g., the process ran for too long).

This will never happen with a background work process.

What was the error you received when it was executed in background?

Hi Isaías,

In background, i got the same error (see attached screenshot).

Thank you,

hmmm it seems that the background process is triggering a parallel task that runs in dialog...

In this case, please try increasing the parameter "rdisp/max_wprun_time.

Hi Isaias,

I already increased the default parameter "rdisp/max_wprun_time" value 3600 to 7200.

Do I have to increase still more?

Any other ideas, please?

Thanks,

Sreenu
