Retrieval of account with nested member formula

We currently have a few accounts with nested member formulas and are unable to pull the account onto an EPM report without having the component accounts available on the same report.  Has anyone had luck with this?

For example:

Acct G = Acct E/Acct F

Acct E = Acct A + Acct B

Acct F = Acct C + Acct D

We would like to be able to pull Acct G onto a report where the appropriate value from the formula will be shown, but it is coming back with no value.  The only way it will pull the value is to also have Accts E & F included on the same report.

Is it possible to do this in BPC 10.0 (on HANA) where we do already have the ENABLE_HANA_MDX parameter enabled?  I realize we could change the syntax on Acct G to carry out the calculations that are part of the component accounts as well, but wonder if this is functionality that should be available.

Thanks ahead of time to any who may have experience in this!

Thank you for your responses & .  To clarify in case it helps, we are on following versions:

SAP_BW 740 SP5

CPMBPC 801 SP5

HANABPC 801 SP3 (HANA Revision 97)

As for the sample accounts, there is a hierarchy already in place that does not allow for E to be the parent of A & B in this example.

Very, very old! And may be nested formulas are not working correctly on this SP level...

You can always create additional hierarchy with new parents!

Thank you again for your additional response.  We are beyond the SP level in which the note indicates these enhancements are available so they cannot be implemented.

Upgrade BW first of all...

Hi Melody,

As my suspicion, this might be a bug in old BPC versions. When ENABLE_HANA_MDX is enabled, BPC have many MDX member formula related bugs in old version.

Please upgrade your BPC to the latest version and see whether issue could be resolved.

Hi Melody,

No idea why it's not working in your case (may be SP level of BPC and BW), But instead of formulas for E and F it's better to use hierarchy (may be additional).
