Hello Pradeep,

in the log screen where "SAP spool error log" is displayed, press the button "All information".

Now more information regarding the problem will be shown. Please post a screenshot about those information.

Also, post a screenshot about the following: in transaction SP01 where the "Problem" status is displayed, double-click on the "Problem" status.

On the new list double-click on "Problem" again.

Now in the popup press button "Events".

Post the screenshot about the appearing popup.

Best regards,

Laszlo

Hello Pradeep,

thank you for the screenshots. The reason of the problem seems to be the

"OTF module: Unknown print control BARON should be output"

error message.

This means that the Output Device was forced to process a print control called BARON, but actually it does not exist in the Device Type of the Output Device.

This can be checked in the following way:

  1. Go to transaction SPAD and press button "Full administration"
  2. Switch to tab "Device Types" and display Device Type SAPWIN
  3. Switch to tab "Print Controls". Here the print control BARON should be present but according to the screenshots it isn't.

On a previous screenshot it has been shown that Output Device LOCL_WIN uses Device Type SAPWIN.

This is strange because Device Type SAPWIN usually does not have a print control called BARON, but it seems some kind of program (e.g. the print program of the application) would enforce SAPWIN to use this.

This means that the possible solutions are:

  • Check where / why the print program uses the BARON print control and see if it can be removed (and it should be discussed first with the application staff whether any processes will be damaged if it will be removed)
  • Add print control BARON to the Device Type with an empty "Control Character Sequence". This would technically solve the issue, albeit the reason why an unneeded print control is called remains unknown.

Best regards,

Laszlo
