Importing Wildcard SSL certificate on Webdispatcher

Hello Experts,

I need your guidance in below scenario

·        We have 2 systems configured in SAP Web dispatcher system (abc.sapcore.domain.com and xyz.sapcore.domain.com) Both are having separate PSE

·       In order to avoid cost of ordering separate SSL certificate for each new alias we have ordered wildcard certificate for *.sapcore.domain.com using Trust manager of ECC system

·        Now  we need to import the response in webdispatcher system so how this can be achieved

o   By importing SSL response in ECC system and save the new PSE and then import it in Webdispatcher

o   By directly importing the certificate response in Webdispatcher since this is wildcard certificate.

Warm Regards,

Sumit

Hello Sumit,

If you have created the CSR in the ECC, then you can only import the response in the ECC system. You need to use the "Import Certificate Response" button from the "Own Certificate" section in STRUST. Be sure to append the response with the intermediate and the root certificates from the CA, otherwise the import might fail.

Then you can use the PSE menu to save the PSE as a local file. This PSE can then be moved to your web dispatcher instance. Just name the file per the server PSE configuration and you can use it.

Cris

Hello,

You need to generate the certificate request at the Web Dispatcher, then sign this request and import the response from the CA.

Read the WIKI page below for assistance with the steps at the Web Dispatcher.
