Hi All,
Could you please give your input/Suggestion on the below points? The client has different version of powerbuilder application starting from PB 6 to PB12. The client want to migrate the oracle 10g into oracle 12C / Oracle 11g R2.
Is PowerBuilder 6 - Compatible with oracle 12C & Oracle 11g R2 ?
Is PowerBuilder 9 - Compatible with oracle 12C & Oracle 11g R2 ?
Is PowerBuilder 12 - Compatible with oracle 12C & Oracle 11g R2?
Thanks,
Balu
Hi Balu,
I hope you are using Oracle 10g client for connecting to Database.
with the 12C upgrade, you can still use the 10g client (MUST be at 10.2.0.2 (or higher)) for connection. This will work.
Thanks,

Hi Balu;
FYI ... PB12.6 supports Oracle 12c.

The official answer to all three: not supported.
The unofficial answer: 9 & 12 will work. If they are using Oracle 10g with PB6, then Oracle 11/12 will work too. In all cases you are obviously not able to use new features. You might want to consider not upgrading the currently used Oracle client.
Basically you are on your own. Test, test and test some more.
