What is the maximum range for RFID?
Dear Chetan,
No RFID reader having capacity of tag detection from 1000 meter. What is the exact requirement/purpose? Long range RFID reader have issue of interference, Wrong reading of RFID tags.
Directional RFID Antenna have max reading capacity of 250 Meters but it also depends upon environment also. In metallic environment, Reading capacity will be reduce.
Please reply with specific requirement, where you required 1000 meter reading capacity?

hi chetan,
It depends on the type of RFID system being used. A high-frequency (HF) reader based on the ISO 14443 air-interface protocol standard, designed for short-range transmission, has a maximum read range of about 18 inches.
An active RFID system can read tags from 1,500 feet away or more.
