How to upgrade 740 to 750 netweaver

Hi,

I have installed SAP Netweaver 740 in my local system and it's working fine. My question is how i can upgrade the existing system with Netweaver 750.

Please provide step information so i can upgrade with new version.

Please read SAP note 2197259 - Add. info about the update/upgrade to SAP NetWeaver 7.5 (incl. SPs and SRs).

It contains an important information:

"...

Urgent notification: Do not start ABAP upgrades to SAP NetWeaver 7.5
We discovered an issue during the ABAP upgrade procedure which can result in loss of dynpro development objects residing in several SAP add-ons or in customer name spaces.
We have removed the SAP NetWeaver 7.5 ABAP upgrade from SAP Service Marketplace and will provide a corrected version as soon as possible. Details on how to identify the affected objects will be communicated via this note.

If you have already performed the upgrade and you experience missing dynpros, please report an incident on component BC-UPG-TLS-TLA with reference to SAP Note 2155664 (Central Note - Software Update Manager 1.0 SP15.). This Text is also added to this note.

Hello Johann,

Per SAP note 2155664, the upgrade should now be possible. Please read "Part C: General Problems / Information" section from the note for more details.

Hi Cris, hi experts,

do you know how soon those corrected update versions will be available on SAP Service Marketplace for downloading?

We do the upgrade to NW 7.5 with SUM SP15. The SAPup is stopped during phase EHP_INCLUSION and says that: “Enhancement Package inclusion failed, no upgrade package found for component 'SAP_ABA'; please make sure that all packages included in the System Stack XML are available in the EPS inbox..”

The obvious thing here is missing upgrade package SAPK-750BHINSAPABA. The package is not available for downloading at least under our s-user. Unfortunately we didn’t find suitable solution within Part C of SAP note 2155664 for our case as well.

Any idea how to proceed with update?

let's try a step-by-step approach:

• go to http://service.sap.com/instguides
• on the left-hand menu click on "SAP NetWeaver"
• again on the left-hand menu select "SAP NetWeaver 7.5".

Do you see the information now?

No, only SAP Netweaver 7.4 information coming on left side under SAP Netweaver section.

Hello Praveer,

that's strange, general availability of NetWeaver 7.5 is from 20.10.2015, so it should be available by now - so if you can not see it I guess it is an authorization issue.

Try to drop a mail to your power user and/or contact the Service Marketplace Support to clear this up - perhaps you just need to request an authorization to see the guides.

(While you're at it, you might want to tell them to make the upgrade media files available to you too, so you can actually make the upgrade process.)
