SAP Disclosure Management 10.1 - Unable to access config20.xml in server

Hello experts,

My team is implementing SAP Disclosure Management 10.1 and we are having trouble reading the config20.xml in the server.

When we open SAP Disclosure Management add in in a new computer that has never connected to the datasources, the defined datasources in the config20.xml file are not available for all users.

We have already implemented the SAP notes:

2028507 - SAP Disclosure Management - Blank datasource dialog box after datasource connection to a s...

1907922 - SAP Disclosure Management - Datasource is not available

And still the users cannot see the datasources.

Could you please help us with this issue?

Thank you.

Best regards,

Raquel Oliveira

Hi Raquel,

Are you sure you are updating the server file?

There are 2 locations for the file (config20.xml)

user(s): C:\Users\<UserLogin>\AppData\Roaming\cundus AG\cundusBIPublisher

server: C:\inetpub\wwwroot\SAP BusinessObjects\Disclosure Management\Data\Config

If a user is locally connected, he/she is not updating the server's config20.xml and other users will not see the changes

Hello Mark

Thank you for your quick answer!

Yes we are updating the server file, we asked our basis team to create the file in the server folder.

When you say the user is locally connected, what do you mean?

If we have the file config20.xml in the server, it should be available to all the users, correct?

Thank you!

Hi Raquel

There are 2 ways of connecting in DSM

As you can already see in the screenshot, the connections shown in these 2 options are not the necessarily the same.

The local connection uses the confif20.xml on the client machine, the server connection use the config20.xml on the server.

Therefore, if you update the server's file, but the user uses the local connection, he will not see the changes.

Hello Marc,

I believe that was my problem.

For an ERP Server connection, we do not have the "Briefing Books" folder available, but fow BW Server connections it is available.

How can we make the briefing books available for everyone? Putting it the config20.xml.

Thank you
