Difference between Ord.Dep'n-Planned and Posted

Hi Experts,

Great day!

I would like to inquire if you have encountered different Dep'n displayed in AW01N (Asset Explorer) and posted in books.

For example:

AW01N dep'n for period 9: 179.29

Correct depn' for period 9: 178.57

What is the common reason why they differ?

To guide you here are the following relevant information:

Dep'n Key: LINK

Period control: 02/02/02/02

Base method: 0007

Any help is very appreciated.

How did you arrive "Correct depreciation" ?  Did you manually calculate ?

Hi Madhu,

The Asset Fiscal Year now is 2015 while I am investigating what happened in 2011 (Go-Live Year) and 2012. Because staring 2013 to date, the depreciation per period is now correct. I am wandering why 2011 and 2012 per period depreciation as per AW01N (Asset Explorer) is incorrect.

Hi Dryan,

In that case, most probably the issue is with cut-over data update in AS91 transaction code.  This is more specific to data related issue and may not be able to resolve without looking into the system.

Did you check the Depreciation Log in AFBP  and you can please provide the screen shot .

Not yet. Kindly elaborate if it shows the reason why planned versus posted depreciation differs.
