Liquidity Planning and Cash Management Legacy Data

Hi Team,

Kindly share your suggestions from past implementation experience

- While implementation of  liquidity and cash management application , we group GL accounts in different planning profiles.

- This profile is also stored in table BSEG for reporting data,

- Say we do this GL master data change in 2016 , but system contains legacy data of last 4 years so how do we update this transaction data with planning profile ? Is this transaction data modification required  ?

Hi Gagan,

I'm confused with your terminology.

In Cash Management you have Planning Levels (G/L accounts) & Planning Groups (Vendor/Customer Accounts). Reports in this module is seen with tx FF7A , FF7B

In Liquidity Planner you have Liquidity Positions, but this is not what you are looing for, right ?

In Cash management you can reorganize data with tx FDFD.

Could you explain a little more why data from 4 years old need to impact in your reports ?

Kind Regards

Sorry for the confusion Gustavo.

Let me simplify the question

We have planning level in FS00/XK02/FD02 for GL account/customer/vendor.

We have planning level & planning group field in table BSEG .

I assume system is using BSEG data values to categories amount in different buckets.

So my question is If I update FS00 say on Jan 2016 and assume it was blank before.

Now question is how do I update BSEG for historical data that is posted in system.

Do we have any SAP programs for this transnational data update ?

I believe this is standard question most company's might be facing when they go with cash and liquidity planning for first time.

Thanks & regards

Gagan

Hi Gagan,

It's clear now =). You would like to reconstruct your Cash Management Data.

In FDFD -> Data Setup will reconstruct your Cash Management information.

There is a lot of information about FDFD in SDN.

Check sap note 17165, 65309, 163896, 992425 , 1888881

Thanks Gustavo for prompt and exact response I was looking for.

I went via all these notes and most notes were released in 2008.

Last note was release on 09.2013.

My only concern is in one client I was not involved directly required SAP help in 2013 end for update of BSEG update for this planning level data.

With your experience do you think for data enrichment we need to involve SAP consulting help . Here I am talking about all standard functionality.

Can you please shed some light on this with your experience.

Thanks & Regards

Gagan

If you have to update BSEG, I think you will need SAP Help.

If you recreate CM Data, FDFD updates tables FDSB, FDES, FDSR and this is what you see in FF7a/FF7B.

Notes are from 2008 but this functionality hasn't changed much.

Hope this helps.

Kind Regards
