Alerting Set up

Hi All

I have a job that runs every 5 mins, due to connectivity issue or so, job goes to Held state by the system. To catch this, is there any alert set up that can be done which notifies when a job is put on hold by the system?

If you have alerting module, you can setup a Job alert source for the status "held" state.

If not you can write a trigger, but this can cause potential performance problems.
