Changing Fiscal Year from Non-calendar FY to Calendar FY in the middle of the Year

Hi Experts,

We have a Company Code with Fiscal Year Variant "V3".

So, as per the current setup, the Financial Year is from April'15 to March'16.

Due the recent corporate decision, the Fiscal Year needs to be changed as Jan - Dec.

So... literally, we need to end the ongoing Fiscal Year by 31.12.2015 and it should be a New Fiscal Year for Jan'16 to Dec'16 & onwards.

I seek the help:

Is there any OSS Note which explains details steps to be executed to bring this change - Converting the ongoing Fiscal Year to Shortened Fiscal Year

OR

Can any body has full details of the process to be followed to achieve this.

Any useful suggestions, content is well appreciated.

The consulting services consist of analysis and support.

If you do need to change fiscal year and need help for this, please read note 672255 for detailed information. The note contains attachments which include the questionnaire to be filled in as well.

It seems, SAP SLO is the only option as per the OSS Notes.

Sorry for late response, I was out of office these days.

Yes, your understanding if right. We always recommend customers to use SLO service. As corresponding risks (for example, data inconsistency, system standstill) can arise from incorrect changes to the fiscal year or from incorrect changes to the fiscal periods in a live SAP system.
