Http/1.1 404 Not Found Error

Hi Experts,

From SAP portal 7.0, in ESS application when i try to click on an external link iam getting Http/1.1 404 Not Found error. But when i access this url separately i can access it without any error. Can anyone let me know what might be the issue?

Hi,

You need to make sure that the URL is a full URL:

e.g http://host../location..

If it's not then make look at the 404 and see where the request went as it obviously went to the wrong location.

Hi Saar,

Thank you for the reply. Url is a full url. The scenario is external links are given in the ESS overview page under "Benefits and Payment". There under services customized links are given. Any possible solution.

Of course I can't access because of user/password but from what I saw I get 404 even from browser directly this means the URL is incorrect.

Hi Saar,

As i said it's standard ESS package the url is generating and its difficult to find where it went wrong. Do you have any idea?

Hi Shiny,

I suggest you record both scenarios in HTTP watch (link from inside of the ESS) and directly to the URL save to 2 different files (do 1 scneario, save, clear, do second scenario).

And then you can upload both hwl files here and we can examine them.
