Use of release stop indicator function in milestone

Hi All,

Can anyone tell me what is the exact use of 'release stop indicator' function in milestone. For example, I have created 4 Activity:

  • Activity 1  Relation FS
  • Activity 2  Relation FS
  • Activity 3  Relation FS
  • Activity 4  Relation FS

So after 2nd activity I put milestone 'release stop indicator' and when I'm going to release all activity by releasing network. 1st and 2nd activity is released after that I got I 'release stop indicator message' and my 3rd and 4th activity also released which should not be released as I already put 'release stop indicator' milestone on 3rd actvity so system should releasing all activity after 3rd acivity.

So kindly tell me how I resolve this issue.

Regards,

Faizan

Hi,

Release until Stop indicator works as part of Milestone functions.

Milestone functions are not triggered by just releasing the Network Header. Please look into an example explained below.

1. Create a milestone for Activity 1. In Basic data tab of milestone, activate checkbox for Milestone Function. In Functions tab of milestone, activate checkbox for 'Release Until Stop indicator'. Fill up information like system status and other details. For example, CNF.

2. Assume Activity 2 and Activity 3 follow after activity 1. Create milestone for Activity 3. In Basic data tab for this new milestone activate checkbox for "Release stop indicator".

3. Assume Activity 4 follows Activity2. And Activity 5 follows Activity 3.

4. Confirm 'Activity1' (Status CNF). Milestone function to Release until stop indicator is triggered. Activity 2 and 3 are released. Even Activity 4 will also be released. But activity 5 will NOT be released because of release stop indicator at Activity 3.
