General Task List Copy Function 

Currently  the copy function of general task list will only copy the operation details  but not the components Please advice whether there's any process or any means to get the components copied

I can see the same question was possted 2009, but not answared

Hi Jan,

This is not a bug, but intended behavior.

The system will not copy the following reference data to the new maintenance task list:

1. Maintenance packages maintenance task list for planned maintenance

2. freely-assigned materials

Hi Jan

The copy function for the components will only be copied if you have used Material BOM during the selection of the components in the source Task List.

In other words, at the header Task List of there was an Assembly Entered and if this Assembly had a Material BOM and you have selected the components from this material BOM, then the components are copied.

This is for General task Lists. Similarly for Equipment or FL Task Lists, if you have used BOMs, then these will be copied.
