BEx Hierarchy for selected Columns

Hi,

We need to create a hierarchy display for a few characteristics only while keeping the other characteristics in a normal table display.

E.g.: We need to put the Sales Order, LI, and Production Order into the hierarchy but keep the delivery date and customer as a normal line.

S/OL/IProdOrderDateCustomerKey Figure
A10P110.12.2015ABC10
P210.12.2015ABC5
20P320.12.2015ABC15
B10P501.12.2015XYZ2

We have tried activating hierarchy on the Rows (Area) on Bex, but that creates hierarchy for all columns and there is no place to select which columns.

We are trying to achieve this without creating a BW Hierarchy since the values are coming from transactional data.

Appreciate any ideas on how to achieve this.

Thanks & Regards,

Niroshini

Hi,

How about putting ProdOrder below L/I and below S/O?

S/O

    L/I

       ProdOrder

Date

Customer

We have tried to put the first three that way but the other characteristics also move to the same hierarchy. Could you explain how to get the output you mention on bex?

Hi,

Sorry I think it only works with STRUCTURE..

If you only have a handful of unique data for your 1st 3 fields you may try it..
