Web Dynpro Explorer Tool Not Navigating From Preview Area

This is a bit frustrating.

I’m in the Web Dynpro Explorer, working with a view, in the layout tab.

I have toggled the ‘Layout Preview’ to show the UI elements.

In the past, I have been able to , for example, double click on a button element in the preview area, and have my focus be switched to the corresponding button element under the RootUIElementContainer in the rightmost panel.

This has stopped working for me.  And some others.  This continues to work for even others.

Any thoughts where to check to control this?

In my specific case, migrating from IE9 to IE11 solved the issue.

I do not know your system's NW version, but please check these notes, if applicable.

If not, or don't help, please update Unified Rendering in the system.

DRAG and DROP from the UI palette also does not work any longer (for some of us).

We had the same problem. It was due to the release status of our system. Check the system release  and check if they are SAP Notes for the problem. In my case, the problem was solved after I install a new release.
