Migration tool compatibility for 7.0

Hi Experts,

Please let me know if the Standard SAP migration tool is compatible to migrate the interfaces from PI 7.0 to PI 7.31 single stack.

Are there any additional configurations needed for executing the tool?

Thanks,

Alpa

Hi Alpa,

I've used even with XI 3.0 to PI 7.4. Just to add, you will need to export you Product Components and Software Components as well from the old SLD to the new one, check my answer here Need advice for SLD migration PO 7.4 | SCN

Hi Alpa,

Yes the tool support the migration. Apart from this you also have to consider the following :

1. Have to do the re-configuration of IDOC,HTTP, WS adapter if any

2. For previous XI adapter Soap Channel needs to be created

3. ABAP mappings will not be supported

4. ccBPM scenarios have to be reconfigured if any

5. The Receiver Determinations with “+” will have to be manually examined

Hope this helps !!

Dear Alpa,

Yes, for the directory objects make use of standard "Integration Directory Migration Tool" which can be accessed via http://<host>:<port>/pimon .

Please find the below link which explains complete functionality and procedure :

http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/e0d7c7e4-af05-3110-f3a5-a6686fd3a...

For Repository objects Just do a File export / Import, Then change the required objects based on the requirements ( For Example: in case you are using PI-NWBPM Communication then all the receiver interface should be XI3.0 Compatible.

As far as i know, this is the easiest possible available option.
