Mail Form output to PDF

Former Member

Hello Experts,

We are using mail forms (html) for correspondence in the Interaction Center.

We have a requirement to output the mail form to:

1. Email

2. PDF (for mass printing/mailing)

Of course the email options is standard SAP.  This is no problem.

The second requirement to output to PDF is more complex.

I would like to know, what is the best way to take the HTML output from the Mail Form and convert to a PDF format?

Some options I can think of include:

1. Output the html to spool, then convert spool to PDF.

2. Convert html to OTF, then convert OTF to PDF. (Is this possible?)

3. Other options?

Thank you!

Hi Charles,

I am not sure if I understand your requirement correctly or not. Actually there is a button "save as Local File" in mail form view. You can use this button to save the mail form for example as .txt. And there are many softwares which can convert .txt to PDF. see following screenshot.

Best Regards,

Hi Bruce,

The user will select the mail form as one of the standard responses from the email UI component (CRMCMP_CCS_EML).  The standard SAP CRM functionality will allow them to email the mail form.

We are adding an additional requirement that will allow the user to convert the data from editor (i.e. mail form) into PDF, store the PDF in CRM (Content Management), and display the PDF in a new window.
