404 not found error

Hi Experts,

From SAP portal 7.0, in ESS application when i try to click on an external link iam getting 404 Not Found error. But when i access this url separately i can access it without any error. Can anyone let me know what might be the issue?

Hi Jun,

This is the standard Overview page for ESS package. In this Overview page external links are given under services. All resources and services are customized in backend SAP system in SPRO transaction. This link was working before.

Compare the services in SMICM transaction for both DEV, QA and PROD system.

Run the transaction SMICM-->Goto-->Services (it will show the HTTP ports)

Check the parameter

icm/server_port_X = PROT=HTTP,PORT=8000,TIMEOUT=3600,PROCTIMEOUT=3600   (where X stands for 0,1,2,3)

Also check the services in SICF that should be active

/default_host/sap/public/icf_info

/default_host/sap/bc/wdvd

/default_host/sap/bc/echo

/default_host/sap/bc/erro

Hi Vijay,

The link is an external link given to overview page in ESS and i think it has to do nothing with SMICM and SICF.
