Restriction of dates in 0EMPLOYEE

Hi everyone,

In our HR projects, we are using 0EMPLOYEE (standard) in infoset. I need to restrict Valid from and Valid to (Time Dependents) dates in query which includes other dates and restricted with variables. I am not able to restrict only dates of 0EMPLOYEE, due to which my reports are not showing correct data.

I heard the concept of Key date but i don't know how it works and whether it will work in InfoSet.

Kindly suggest me.

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

In the context of InfoSets, you have to work with Temporal Joins. Please refer to SAP Note  583249 - @0S@ InfoSets (BW): Temporal Joins and the related SAP Notes for more information.

Hi,

Do you have valid from and valid to as attributes of 0Employee ?

For key date -

Key Date setting is for the 'time dependent' master data.

Lets say u have a Characteristic MATERIAL with a time dependent attribute MATERIAL GROUP as follows.

MATERIAL FROM TO MATERIAL GROUP

ABD 01/01/1995 12/31/2003 X

ABD 01/01/2004 12/31/9999 Y

Depending on what you have for the Keydate, the Material group is selected.

If your key date is, ex, 06/12/2001 there material group is X. Or if key date is 02/15/2005, material group is Y.

If you do not enter any value for keydate, system automatically assumes today' date.

No. In standard 0EMPLOYEE, we dont have these attributes.
