We are in ECC 6.0 and still getting this error.!
Usually BOM has a +ve value and with shortage of that quanity , COGI shows up with a +ve value ( Mvt type: 261-Consumption).
In this case, the COGI is with a -ve value . ( I am not sure about the logic here).
What is the solution and business scenario where COGI could have a -ve Value.?
Hello
I have already seen this issue when a goods movement was posted with a BAPI and it happens in case of incorrect parameters sent on the BAPI.
If this is the case, try to use BAPI BAPI_PROCORDCONF_GET_TT_PROP to read the proposed data and use the results as input to post the confirmation.

Thank you for your inputs.
The BOM doesn't have any -ve value in component quantity. The co-Product is also not marked at component level/component.
Using this BAPI_PROCORDCONF_GET_TT_PROP is an one time effort to clear the error?
I see a COGI with a -ve qty?
Could you please clarify more on the Proposed data and results?
Hello
Are you using the BAPI to post the confirmation or not? If so, you should use the mentioned BAPI to read the proposed data for the goods movements and only change the necessary fields (quantity, storage location, etc...).
Do you have the necessary authorization to delete records on COGI? Check running transaction SU53 after trying to delete the record.

Hi Caetano, we have same problem too. we can not clean the cogi error (which is = IMSEG-ERFMG is negative. Only positive values can be processed.) . How can we clear it ? --> "is Using this BAPI_PROCORDCONF_GET_TT_PROP an one time effort to clear the error? ".. And for confirmation yes we are using a bapi (z program) and the cogi message is created by it. Would appreciate if you give more detail.
Hi SS,
BOM can have negative value for component in case you are using Co product or By Products in your manufacturing process. Check the BOM for header material if -ve quantities are maintained for components. Also check item details of BOM component if co product indicator is set.
By product has movement type as 531 and co-product as 101. you can validate this with already created orders.

Rohit

Hello,
What is the error message number "M7192"?
In general the second symptom (error M7192) can occur if changes are made on the component overview.
Do you have by-product defined in BOM?
Check the movement type in COGI
