Standard practice to change any IT 1 attributes like PA/PSA, EG/ESG, Payroll area, should be through personnel action (usually known as Change Org assignment).  Rationale: These can change groupings and payroll related data like IT 7, 8, 2001.

This pers action should include copying IT 7, 8.  It is possible that such change leads you to

change/correct IT 2001.

Change of payroll area may have other implications - e.g., doing after the payroll period end of existing payroll area.

Change of position or role would be through pers action Transfer Employee (again with IT 7 & 8).

Changing such data needs to be properly analysed before taking any corrective steps.

Go to IT0001 and select the overview option from PA30 transaction then select the record which one you wanted to change, click on copy and then change ESG wef date save it and then check all the possible scenarios.

Hi,

You can change this with using PA41 transaction.

Hello Jiangang,

Have you tried the proposed solution?

Its possible and I did many times, Go to PA41 and press SHIFT+F7 and select your previous action and change the ESG as per your requirement.

Kindly find the attached screen shot for your reference.
