SAP Net weaver INSTALLATIONS

Hi Experts,

I am using SAP R/3 and SAP ECC 6.0  and I dont have netweaver in my system.

i want to install netweaver on my system (7.3/7.4).Should i purchase netweaver from SAP or can  i get netweaver (7.3/7.4)Free installations pack from

SAP Marketplace.

Hi Sangamesh,

Normally SAP Gateway comes with ECC system itself but for user license you need to get license for Gateway user..

Hi Sangamesh,

as Vivek pointed out for an SAP ECC 6.0 that happens to run on SAP NetWeaver 7.31 you have to install at least the SAP Gateway backend component IW_BEP as an add on.

You can then install a "naked" SAP NetWeaver 7.40 system as a SAP Gateway Hub.

There is no additional license necessary for that provided all users using SAP Gateway have licensed SAP named users in the ECC 6.0 backend.
