We have periodic application for planning. But when the reports are tried to be run with YTD, the reports hangs even if there is 2 lines of data to read.

How this issue can be resolved in BPC 7.5 NW reporting.

Appreciate your inputs..

Hello BPC lover,

The question you are asking can be answered only after finding some further details.  The following are very important questions to answer:

I recommend:

  1. Create a new simple EVDRE report using the same current view to verify if this is a general problem.
  2. Before testing make sure you can capture the runtime MDX query using SGL1
  3. Test this report, find the MDX query, from SGL1, and save it to a text file
  4. Use MDXTEST t-code from the BW side paste the query into the statement panel and execute it, click the little button with a triangle.  This will show you exactly what runtime query is being generated and how long it take to execute on the server side. If your server side does not show a problem with the simple report then the problem is not with the measures, but something in the structure of the report.
  5. If the report /reports worked better in the past then you need to identify what has changed to cause the problem.

I hope this helps you to get a deeper insight into this problem.

Best Regards,
Leila
