I came through a situation in CMC where the OLAP connection is missing from the display window. Initially after installing BO I was able to create OLAP connections but all of a sudden it got disappeared from CMC. Now only connection (but not OLAP connection) is there. I came across some notes in SCN where the solution to get back to the earlier stage is suggested as mentioned below:
In my case, I didn't deployed anything like WebSphere which might have lead me to the disappearance of OLAP connection.
Can someone suggest me the steps how can I get back to my earlier state in CMC (any suggestions apart from the above mentioned ones will be highly appreciated)?
I found the solution I was looking for. It's not necessary that the OLAP connection should be present in CMC all the time; it can be Relational connection also. If we are trying to set up a connection of any type (either relational or OLAP), we can simply use tool like IDT to create that and the same can be seen under the connections in CMC.
