CERTMAP url "No certificate available" error

Hi - whenever using the a certmap url like this

https://sapfp2-inc.sapnet.hpicorp.net:8001/sap(bD1lbiZjPTEwMA==)/bc/bsp/sap/certmap/default.htm

It is failing w/ "No certificate available" even though I know my browser has client certificates (x509 type stuff i believe is what it is) available for it to pick up and use for mapping the stuff to the vusrextid table.  I've tried clearing IE cookies and rebooting and different browsers but no luck.  using IE 10.
