SAP FC with EPM

Hello dear community,

I would like to know if there is any way to use the EPM addin with SAP Financial Consolodation. Could you please help ? do you think Cube designer can solve this or there is a simpler way ?

* We are using SAP FC 10.0

Hello,

You need to deploy a cube under SAP Fiancial consolidation cube designer .

The cube is based on FC database.

Once the cube is deployed , you can use EPM ADDIn to retreive the data

The natve client for SQL Server 2012 is already installed. Would I have to install the whole SQL Server 2012?

Hello Saad,

If you are using the SQL SERVER 2012, you have to use the provider SQLNCLI11 not the SQLNCLI10. I think you are using the incorrect provider for the SQL server 2012 following the error message.
Maybe a workaround that can solve your problem is to install also the Native Client for SQL server 2008.

Could you confirm the version and support packages installed for the following components:

- SAP Fiancancial Consolidation ( BFC)

- SAP CUBE designer

- SAP CUBE deployer

- BOE server  or IPS ?

- UDF For security ?

- EPM Solution manager ?

You have specified the provider of SQL SERVER 2008 (SQLNCLI10.1) on the EPM connection.

Could you please change it to SQLNCLI11 ?
