New Warning messages - New rows not permitted and no data found

Hi Guys,

We upload 2 files through workbooks before we start allocation and distribution in IP. We got these messages ( 1] New rows not permitted, since no data is posted and Fiscal Year/period is in columns, 2] No data found that meets the used conditions) for the recent yearly budget after upload which we used to not get. The same workbook is used for monthly plan as well but not getting this message.

Has anybody faced this issue and how did you resolve it.

I've met that problem too. But it is a restriction of BEx, look at SAP documentation:

Diagnosis

New rows can only be entered in the current query view when values are updated or characteristics are not drilled down in the columns. In the current view, characteristic Cal. year / month is drilled down in the columns.

System Response

New rows cannot be entered.

Procedure

To enter new rows, remove the drilldown for the characteristic in the columns.

I propose you fill your info-provoder with empty row before query open

Hi Zubin,

First, do a RSTT trace to see whether it is a ABAP error message.
If it is, share the message id and message no, which can be used as key word to do the search.

I guess it is relevant for plan query's input-ready status.
Maybe you can check the online help if it is indeed relevant for it.
