Redo log Backup failed with Return code:0005 Error during proce....

Hi all,

Unexpectedly on our Production server scheduled Redo log backup getting failed.

OS is Windows server 2008. database oracle 11g.

at OS level we found that backup file is creating with . (dot). (ex: .SEPARCH1_20961_756760855.DBF)

Thanks for your quick replay....

as per SAP Note 148529 we need to increase Brtools patch level.

we will do this activity...

can we salve this issue with out patch level up date ?

because its difficult to get Production server down time.

Unfortunately I can not recommend another solution for that. Good luck!

This answer may be a bit late, but:

For an upgrade of brtools you will not need a downtime of the SAP system.

Just make sure no backup is running.
