We are currently uploading all version data from spreadsheets. I want to evaluate the usage of IP for plan versions/data. Questions like: In which scenarios does this make sense? How to integrate IP?
Therefore, I'm looking for some kind of best practice guide to get some idea how things can work together. Any recommendation what to read (in SCN, external or books?)?
Thanks in advance!
If this is a matter of just data load - you may use load from data stream (as Dan proposed) or load via flexible file upload. If there are some calculations - then use the BAdI, which will envoke the definite IP planning sequencies and write it to that place what you need

When the data exists in IP the suggested approach for loading data into BCS is via load-from-data-stream which is reading directly from the IP cube.
