Rebuild Cube using DSO

Hi,

I have a sales cube getting data from DSO. there are some key figures already exist in the DSO but not available in Cube.

I want to bring all of those Key figures in Cube and rebuild cube with DSO.

Need help to achieve.

What help do you need to achieve this? Please be specific.

You could use remodelling technique and add the extra key figures into the cube for which all the delta data will have the key figures filled in the cube.

But you cant fill the history data with the new fields.

If you want history data also to be filled with the new key figures, then you need to delete the data in your cube, add the new fields and then reload the data from your DSO.

As you have data in DSO, there is no need to worry about data mismatch. You could always reload the data from it.

thanks for response. I have done it with re-loading through DSO. now I have data with

new field in Cube. without any data lose.

Hi Naeem,

I have only heard about Remodelling but not really sure how it works....

Plan B would be Take you Cube as "A" , create another Cube "B" which is copy of the Original Cube "A".

Add all the New KFs to the Cube B, Map the cube B to the Multiprovider (Existing) with same settings.. Load the Data to cube B and test it..Once the Testing is OK...You can remove the CUbe "A" from the MP.

Move it to PROD and repeat the above steps...

With this approach the dependencies and Impact is minimal...
