Hello, I'm just wondering if Sybase ASE 15.0 (32 bit) Server for Linux is still available and if so, where can I possibly download or purchase it? The only version available in the SCN Download page is ASE 16.0
I intend to install Sybase in my Unix box which run on 32 bit, according to one blog I've read, the last Sybase release to support 32 bit installer is 15 (or 15.7).
Obviously, when I tried installing ASE 15.7 64 bit on my 32 bit Unix box, it returned a "cannot execute binary" error.
Any help would be highly appreciated, TIA!!!
Hello Lou,
SY ASE 15.0 can be found in the archived section of the Software Distribution Center.
This means that you probably need to contact SAP Support to provide you accessibility to 15.0.
The steps are:
Chances are that "normally" you won't find SY ASE, or the Archive section at all.
In this case open a Customer Incident on component XX-SER-SAPSMP-SWC.
Best regards,
Laszlo
