Hi ESS/MSS/Portal Experts,
I am seeking an urgent assistance from you please here for the issue which we are facing for Global employees whilst accessing there UWL.
We are struggling since 20 days to fix this issue however no luck yet.
500 Internal error
Application error occurred during request processing
This below error occurs for all managers whilst approving the leave request
We did below analysis and took actions before posting this on SCN:
* We did deleted UWL cache and expired workitems.
* Checked SWu3 config - all components are activated.
* Checked all relevant RFC and JCo - all are activated.
* Re-registered UWL connection.
* Checked all RFC users - none were faulty but we re-assigned it.
As per error log, I assume this error is coming because of some or other system users but we are not able to figure it out.
Looking forward to have expert inputs from your end - let me know if I need to provide some additional info.
Many thanks.
Regards
Shipra
Issue got resolved.
Solution: XML file used for UWL had got some inconsistency and it was routing to some wrong PCD path.
We had back up of XXL which was created for this specific client and we restored it and issue got fixed.
probably some change in workflow task had caused some issue with XML file but now its working fine.
Thank you all for all support.

Hi Shipra,
The error thrown in the screenshots indicates that the RFC destination is not correctly configured. Can you successfully ping? Please check this and note 1133821 again.
Is the username and password word valid?
If ping is successful and you are sure the configuration is correct then please reproduce the issue and attach the latest UWL logs as per

Dear Shipra,
Hope you are doing good.
Please see SAP KBA 1544135 and make sure that you are able to test all the JCo destinations. Most likely the ESS ones are failing with user authentication issues.
Hope this helps.

Hi Hemant,
Thanks for your response.
We checked all JC0 connection at very first and tested all relevant connections - all are working okay.
I referred the note and could find everything in line - As it's stated in S note, we had already raised this issue SAP long back but no appropriate support from them on our OSS 45799
Struggling to get this issue fixed...
Hope to get some expert inputs from your end.
Many thanks,

Hi Priya,
Have you checked User Mapping both sides (EP and ECC)?
A technical user of EP needs to be mapped with ECC.
E.g. EP_ADMIN is a technical user in EP.
GO to UME--> Search EP_ADMIN-->select and goto User Mapping Tab--> Select system object from dropdown-->and enter ECC's Service user credentials for mapping.
