Hi Gurus,
I have a requirement in Feb 20th and have my planning time fence is April 14th .
We had created manually receipt element created in May 10th. When i run Planning run a new receipt element is created on April 14th.
Can any one please suggest how i can i stop system to create new receipt element on April14th and ask the system to look forward to May 10th ?
It will be really helpful if any one can suggest.

Which Heuristics are you using for planning?
Is the receipt element is outside the PPDS horizon?
Please run the heuristic by Use Total Receipts in Net Requirement Calculation tick.

The system checks if a new receipt element can cover the existing requirements.
The heuristic however has to find a way to also cover the requirements which can not be covered in time so shelf life planning planned orders can not be late!
Set the 'Consider deficits outside production horizon' indicator in the heuristic profile, the system will not create any receipts for deficits outside the production horizon and reuse mode 'Use suitable Receipt Elements'.
