Hi All,

We have come across a situation as below;

We have selected Full Settlement in our Settlement Type.

Ex : 100 $ in Full was to be settled. But, we were able to manage immediate settlment of 80 $. Remaining 20$ I will settle it later. How the Full Settlement will work then.

We do not want to go for periodic settlement.

Regards,

MRD

Why didn't the $20 settle?

Hi Mohan,

Full settlement: The costs which have occurred for a sender object for all the periods prior to the settlement is considered for settlement. In your case 80$ costs has been occurred over a period of  time which has been settled.

so next time if you have occurred 10$ over a period will be considered for next settlement.

Periodic settlement: The costs which have occurred for a sender object for the respective period is considered for the corresponding settling period.

Harish

Hi All,

My understanding is, whatever we present to the system for settlement i.e, 80$ will be Full Settlement and next when we propose 20% that would be another Full settlement. Is that correct or any different logic is there?.

Immediate reply is really appreciated.

Hi Mohan,

Below info is all about full settlement from SAP help

Full Settlement

Full settlement takes place when the investment measure is completed. During the full settlement, the debits that were transferred to the asset under construction are settled to completed assets. If debits were transferred incorrectly to the asset under construction, you can make a correction at this point and make a final settlement of these debits to cost centers. This settlement to cost centers is allowed only for debits that were posted during the current fiscal year. Debits from prior fiscal years are not allowed to be settled to cost centers at this point, since they were already listed under assets under construction in the balance sheet from the previous year.

However, you should note that you can still post acquisitions to the investment measure after the full settlement. There is no change to the status of the investment measure. Therefore, it is possible to have any number of full settlements for the same investment measure.

Hopefully this is what you are trying to find out

HI Mohan,

You can try to maintain the settlement rule based on percentage as shown below (FUL). or its also possible to maintain the amount in settlement rule for settlement.

Hope this clarifies your query.

Narender.
