Cannot Save Data Manager Schedule – File Extension Not Allowed

Hi Experts,

I am trying to schedule a lite optimize Data Manager Job and receive the message “Can’t create Macro file for schedule: Error File extension not allowed for upload.  Check your file extension.”.

In the environment settings I’ve defined the following extensions:

XLT,TXT,XLS,TDM,txt,xlsx,DTSX,ESF,MRC.

I added the MRC extension since that’s the one for the NW version.  I could not ID the job extension for MS.

Any ideas?
Is there a way to find the job in SQL and maybe there I can see the extension?

Thanks

Eyal

Hi Eyal,

the mrc files are saved in the path given by Arnold inside ...\MACROFILES\SCHEDULEFILES

Check please in appset\environment parameters all these parameters

-ALLOWEXTENSIONS

-ALLOW_FILE_SIZE

-ALLOW_EXTENTIONS

-DEFAULT_EXTENTIONS

add please also CSV, CDM,XLTM extensions

This error could be related also with a UAC or web.config issue see please

1840454 - BPC10: Error when scheduling a data manager package: Access is denied. (Exception from HRE...

and 2160245 - Error when scheduling a data manager package: Access is denied. (Exception from HRESULT: 0...

The Sql tables that contain your scheduled packages are tblSchedule (and tblScheduleHist for old packages), there you will find the path for the scheduled files

Hi,

the schedule files should have the same MRC extension and should be stored in

[DRIVE]\PC_MS\Data\Webfolders\ENVIRONMENT\MODEL\DataManager\MacroFiles
