Future of BPC on the Microsoft Platform?

Hi All

Does anyone have a Roadmap for BPC on the Microsoft Platform?

Will SAP continue to Enhance BPC on the MS Platform in the years to come? I have noticed that the focus is more on the NetWeaver platform as the years go by and am wondering if BPC on the MS Platform is coming to an end?

Hi Aadil,

think also that NW solution needs netweaver platform, BW and 10.1 also Hana Db, there are too expensive for little-medium companies.

If a company don't have\want other SAP products they will prefer BPC MS version so probably SAP will mantain both version also in the future because these two versions are intended to cover different markets.

Hi Aadil,

You can review the product availability maintenance by going to http://help.sap.com . BPC 7.5 will be end of mainstream maintenance in March. Both BPC 10.0 and 10.1 will be available until 2020. The 10.1 version just went to GA 7 months ago it  is our latest version.  You may want to speak to your SAP AE about the future road map as we do not have this information.

We are currently upgrading and will be Live on BPC 10.1 MS in the next month.

We just don't want to keep on investing too much into BPC if there is no future for it beyond 2020 on MS platform.

I will chat to our SAP contact for this info.

You will still have P1 support for another year after 2020 so that is still 5 years. Also by then you may want to move to our planning on the cloud which integrates with BPC.
