Upgrade SAPJVM to JDK 7

Hi Experts,

I have BO version 4.1 SP5 which it is using JDK 6 in SAPJVM folder.  How can I upgrade to JDK 7 and does not break anything?

Hi Raghunath,

Upgrading the SAPJVM is never a good option and it is recommended to never update it manually.All the servers runs on the Custom created Java provided by SAP which is SAPJVM. If you wanted to upgrade the Java you can upgrade the Server.

You can check the below KBA to check which SAPJVM is provided  with Bundled Service Packs :

I have traced the setenv.bat file in the tomcat bin directory which uses sapjvm.  However, there is a jre version in a directory above sapjvm that is jdk 1.7.  Can I point universe designer to use JDK or JRE 1.7?  I have some JDBC drivers that require JDK 1.7.
