Why order is not created in maintenance plan?

Hi PM Guru,

I have a question on why there is no order generated even though it is overdue. .

From below screenshot captured today, you can see the plan has been started.

Here is the scheduling parameter.

Additionally, IP30 is also implemeted to cover the scheduling.

The Work order has not been generated as schedule,if I execute IP10,it works.

Please help me diagonose.

Thank you,

Sally

Dear,

Could you kindly show the selection parameters of IP30? Is it in background or manually you process.

Hi Saurabh and Pardhu,

1. The other plans which have been scheduled via IP10 have NO such issues as they have the orders generated based on the scheduling paramters.

2. IP30 view

From my initial screen, you can see the scheduled call have been overdue without a generated order.

Pls kindly help.

Sally

Attaching SAP note picture perhaps isn't as per ROE.

You can take help from BASIS persons to view the note 69931.

Thank you , Jogeswara,

I have not yet looked into it you attached.

I am not sure it is the cause as most of the plans are scheduled well only few acts up.

If possible, please send me the OSS to my personal email.

Thank you a lot,

Sally

Hi Jogeswara,

Would you please explain a bit on what the possible solution is ?

Before I take the last resort which is to manually schedule it in IP10, I'd rather wait for the real solution as I can not simulate this issue.

Thank you ,

Sally

Hello Sally,

If you go through my post, it is an expression of possibility of the note relevant to your case, because the symptoms match. I am not in a position to simulate the situation of yours and confirm that this is the solution.

I guess, This is not a data issues, because we also facing same issues. only for few plans. others are working correctly.

Some of the maintenance plans are not generating the call objects on their call date.

Some of the Maintenance plans are generating the call objects after the call date.

Hi Durai / Sally,

In case if all your master data is perfect, like mandatory fields in order etc.

Then, you need to raise a OSS note to SAP.

Appreciate if you can share the details provided by SAP.

My case, I found, call objects are not created but the table MHIS field ABRUD (Last call on) is getting updated. is there any reason, why table and field ABRUD is getting updated, when there is no call is generated.

Hi Terence,

I can get it fixed by re running IP10  then the overdue call object is converted to order ( New start save to call) because at the time when it was supposed to generate order, I got some missing authorization.

I think that is the reason.

Thank you,

Sally

Hi Gents,

More info on the maintenance call:

I just found out it is New Start hold in scheduling type which may prevent it from generating order.

But I have no idea why it is NOT new start called.

Any clue or experience is welcomed.

Thank you,

Sally

Hi All,

In IP24 for this maintenance plan,it shows the scheduling status is X-selection whereas the normal maintenance call has no indicator on this.

Please kinldy help.

Hi Sally,

This says, the call horizon has not been reached.

That's the reason, the scheduling status indicator was set. This status is set when the status of the call is on hold, call date is not reached.

Try to create similar maintenance plan and check how it behaves. This should be some data issues or end user issue.

Hi Sally,

What are the initial screen setting done in IP30 ?

Is the Immediate start for all is set ? If you set this, it should generate the call.

Also is IP30 running daily or it was run only once ? Can you go to IP02, select the call date line item and click call algorithm, to understand the logic for this date.

Terence

Yogesh,

It had been scheduled or else the maintenance plan call schedule tab is not visible.

Screen shot shows schedule hold so run IP10 to schedule this plan again and status should be Save to call.

Hi Yogesh,

I guess if you set Immediate set for all in IP30, it should work and generate work order.

Hi Sally,

Pls. attach IP30 variant screenshot and also let us know the frequency of IP30 run and when did it last run. I assume you have a background job scheduled for IP30.

Thanks,

Saurabh.
