Data Services connections to IBM DB2 8.1

Has anyone ever come across a problem with Data Servers (4.21 SP5) creating multiple connections to an IBM DB2 8.2 database?

When creating the Datastore in Designer, the connection is validated against the DB2 database, but opens numerous connections on the database server and consumes all its resources, resulting in the db2 server crashing.

Is there a way of limiting the number of connections the datastore can make at any one time?

Are you using a ODBC DSN to connect to DB2 database ?

On which operating system is your DB2 database installed?

As per the PAM below are the supported versions of DB2

Can you check with DB2 DBA and monitor the number of processes created while running a job in BODS

Looks like its not supported;  we are going to try and push the queries down to the DB, rather than use DS.
