Mb51 report giving time out error ...

Hi ,

When we run MB51 in our production system for a report of about 1 month. It throws the Time Out error.

Please help me in resolving the performance issue.

Dear Ashutosh,

Thank you very much for your reply.Please let me know, if we can create one more secondary index in table MSEG for the solution of MB51 time out error, as already in  our system MSEG is having  7 + 9 (standard and custom secondary index). Also creating another custom index will further reduce the performance?

Dear Dinesh,

If your database is oracle then run the database statistic for table MKPF and MSEG.

Also you need to check how many rows it is trying to pick from the select query.

Also you need to involve a ABAPER to tune the program.
