BPC 7.5MS Client and EPM (BPC 10.1MS) working on the same excel

Hi All

I am trying to get BPC 7.5 MS Client and EPM Client (BPC 10.1MS) working on the same pc.

When installing both clients, BPC 7.5 works but when logging onto BPC 10.1 I get the following error : The type initializer for 'FPMXLClient.Common.SAPPassportHelper' threw and exception.

I have tried installing BPC 10.1 first (Which works perfectly without 7.5) , then installing BPC 7.5 after. BPC10.1 EPM stops working once 7.5 is installed.

Any suggestions on getting both versions to work together?

Hi Aadil,

try opposite way, normally you have installed 7.5 before and after you install the 10.1 version.

I have 7.5 MS and 10.1 NW, but EPM add-in is the same of MS version, and it works without issues.

I tried it the other way too, Installing 7.5 first then 10.1MS, 7.5 works fine but on 10.1 I get the FPMXLClient error.

Note: I have installed the latest EPMClient available : EPMEXCLNT24P

I have installed BPC 10.1 SP4

if you install 10.1 after 7.5 then see please these two notes:

2059134 and 2222090

I tried both the Notes but to no Avail. I still get the error on EPM.

The only way I get EPM to work is if uninstall both BPC 7.5 and BPC10.1, Then only re-install BPC10.1

Hi All

This has been resolved.

I was installing the EPM Add-in .Net4&above and thus both versions of BPC were not working on the same excel.

When changing to EPM Add-in with .Net3.5, both versions works on the same machine.

Hi Aadil,

the first note I give you (2059134) explained exactly this because 7.5 version support only .NET 3.5 and not 4.0.

First note just stated to install .Net 3.5 which I did.

It did not state to install EPM Version of add in with 3.5, Or I understood the note wrong
