Hi Team,
While installating BI platform support tool on Linux system I am not able to extract it
getting error while following the step
1. login through root user got to tmp folder
2.tried to run the command given in the KB
Http://scn.sap.com/docs/DOC-69870 wrriten the url as not able to paste it
and followed the resolution step as well but the same error in the kb the snapshot.
Hi Richa,
I can't see the error you are referring to. If you could post a new screenshot or text of the error it would help.
However,t o install the SAP Host Agent from the /tmp directory that you are showing you would just need to first execute:
./SAPCAR_721-20010450.EXE -xvf SAPHOSTAGENT101_101-20005731.SAR
This will extract the installer.
Then run:
./saphostexec -install
Let me know if you face further issue on this.
Thanks
Toby

Hello,
Are available for a citrix gotomeeting session today? I'd be happy to have a look. I've not seen it hang on this particular step and definitely want to understand the problem.
Also, did you copy the operations.d folder from the BIPST install directory to your BI nodes and WAS nodes? This is explained in steps 5 and 6 of the getting started guide. Getting Started Guide (BI running on Unix and Linux) - Business Intelligence (BusinessObjects) - SCN...
Are you using the latest BIPST version 2.0.2?
Let me know.
Thanks
Toby
