Impact of upgrade from CRM 5.0 to CRM 7.0 Ehp2 on IPC

Hi,

After upgrade of CRM 5.0 to CRM 7.0 Ehp2, what happens to IPC related setting? are there any manual settings required after upgrade for pricing/condition master data replication form ECC to CRM? What is the impact of upgrade on IPC pricing?

As per the upgrade guide "the Internet Pricing and Configurator (IPC) functions for pricing has been integrated in the Virtual Machine Container (VMC) of SAP NetWeaver 7.0. It is not required to install SAP NetWeaver Application Server Java to run the Java applications for pricing, since these are now processed on SAP NetWeaver Application Server ABAP only".

Hi Nikhil,

As per my understanding please ensure the following once the upgrade is done -

1. Check the relevant RFC's in SM59 between CRM and ECC systems.

2. Check the adapter object relevant to applicable condition records.

3. In any new upgraded system, as IPC is a part of VMC, you need to activate the VMC in the upgraded system. (Your Basis team should be able to do it)
