How to access the shared folder through File sender channel

Hello Experts,

I have a scenario where Sender system is one of the Network File server which contains the Text file, PI has to read that file and will pass it to the Receiver system in asynchronous mode.

I have configured the file sender channel using the NFS as Transport protocol and FCC as message protocol as shown below.

yet File sender channel is not able to connect to the shared folder in a system lying in a same network.

current PI version is 7.1

kindly suggest.

Regards,

Jagesh

HI Jagesh,

Its is not possible to connect  from PI to your Local share drive folder , you need to mount this on your PI server then only its possible to connect via File (NFS)

Hi Manoj,

Appreciate your quick response

so what I have learnt is, there can be two possible ways in this case

  1. mount that shared folder in PI server and then use of NFS to connect local file path
  2. enable the FTP service in a shared system to enable the FTP connectivity.

please confirm this.

Thanks and Regards,

Jagesh

Jagesh,

For mounting of folders you need to get in touch with your basis team , however if your PI server and you share drive is running on different OS then its bit tricky.

this may be helpful :
