Hi All,

We are getting below error in SID.log

Error:

00:0004:00000:00112:2016/02/07 00:00:48.10 server  Error: 605, Severity: 21, State: 1

00:0004:00000:00112:2016/02/07 00:00:48.10 server  An attempt was made to fetch logical page '3235' from cache 'default data cache'. Page belongs to database 'saptools' (5), object 'DBH_MSG_LOG' (672002394), index 'DBH_MSG_LOG' (0), partition 'DBH_MSG_LOG_672002394' (672002394) and not to database 'saptools' (5), object 'DBH_STG_TABLES' (2016007182), index 'DBH_STG_TABLES' (0), partition 'DBH_STG_TABLES_2016007182' (2016007182).

Please advice.

Hello Karthik,

I'm pretty sure that you are run into known ASE bug CR 780810 which is fixed in >= 16.0.01.01 .

Please read also related KBA
"2144033 - SAP ASE: REORG DEFRAG WITH SKIP_COMPACT_EXTENTS might fail with ASE error 605"

and ASE 16.0.01.01 Targeted CR List
"2150561 - Targeted CR List for ASE 16.0 SP01 PL01".

My recommendation is to upgrade to ASE version 16.0.01.02 to avoid this error in future.

Dear Karthik,

as mentioned above please check KBA 2144033. This KBA describes also a possible workaround.

But we strongly recommend to upgrade to latest available ASE version 16.0.01.03.
